Coaches Corner

Cricket Coaching

Coaches are so vital to the growth of cricket in New Zealand. Having coaches that create safe, positive and fun environments for children who play cricket, pave the way for future generations of cricketers.

NZC have created a series of online modules and courses to help develop coaches and ensure they are delivering positive experience for cricketers. Part of the coaching requirements involve registering on the NZC Coach Database and complete an online Vulnerable Persons Module, which includes a Police Vetting Form.

As part of this process coaches, online modules and workshops are available for coaches to attend.

Umpires

Umpiring in Counties Manukau

Umpiring in our region has a very proud and strong history. We have had numerous umpires go on to umpire at regional, domestic and international level over the years, and this trend continues today with both John Dempsey and Ash Mehrotra graduating from the CMCA Umpiring school and currently umpiring consistently at Domestic level with international experience already gained.

Our current Area Training Officer/Umpire Co-ordinator is Phil Norvill.

We are always looking for new recruits, so if you are keen on watching the game from the best seat in the house, whilst making a bit of pocket money!! Please contact louiseg@countiesmanukaucricket.co.nz
